I’ve a dream, Silver Dream Machine

Jeffery Archer, the disgraced former Conservative peer is to reprise the role made famous by David Essex in the 1980 box office smash, Silver Dream Racer. Updated for the new millennium, Archer plays Nick Freeman, a cocky young Houseboat enthusiast who inherits the prototype for a faster than light craft designed by his brother, played by Bill Cosby. Nick struggles to get financing from his mother to build his Silver Dream Racer and compete in the World Houseboat Racing Championship, Weston-Super-Mare. On a personal level Nick finds himself competing with fellow Houseboat racer Bruce McBride (played by The Nolan Sisters) for the love of the same man. Harry H. Corbett (deceased) will once again play Wiggins.

Silver Dream Racer is to be produced by Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard. Filming is to begin in the Cunting New Year.
